About Robins Rescue and Our Fostered Animals
Our organization is unique in several ways. First of all we offer long term foster care for all of our animals. We keep every single one until they are given a new home with their very own family. We foster many types of animals as well not just dogs and cats. We also help to rehabilitate animals that have been abused by socializing them with both people of varying ages and other pets. We take on cases where we know adoption is imminent as well as those that are harder to place because we believe they all deserve a fair chance. Pets both young and old are welcome and given equal importance. No animal is treated unfairly while under our roof.
At Robins Rescue we believe that all animals are deserving of good homes especially the ones who were not given the benefit of such an environment to begin with. We give shelter and a well deserved second chance to animals who have seen the worst of human treatment and survived. On any given day millions of animals are abandoned and we seek to offer new beginnings to as many as we can. These animals don't deserve the treatment that they have had to endure or the sad end most in animal shelters around the world face by being euthanized to prevent or lessen overcrowding. Too many good pets with many years left and lots of love to give meet horrible ends daily. Not all animals are afforded second chances. Some are more than capable of being family friendly pets just like the begal hound mix named Lilly that we adopted.
Lilly's story, like most of our fostered animals, is a tragic one. She was used for breeding until she was no longer useful and then heartlessly bashed in the head and left for dead. She suffered irreparable damage to her brain that caused her to constantly lean to one side and impaired her hearing. Other issues she had included damage to her larynx which cause her to sound like a seal when she barked. Despite her prior circumstances and impairments Lilly was one of the most friendly and loving animals we've had. She would always follow us around and loved to play with the other animals. In fact her issues never seemed to phase her at all.
Every day we get animals just like Lilly that have been beaten, starved, abused in horrible ways, and in some cases left for dead. Animals that have been saved from abusers and euthanization. They find safety and love within our walls while waiting for loving families.
